Why a Purple Tent?
Many years ago I read a book that completely changed my life. That book was the Red Tent by Anita Diamant. I was deeply inspired by Diamant's historical re-write from a woman's point of view. Her concept of the Red Tent as a place for women to gather, eat, share deep wisdom, and heal really impacted the way I looked at wellness. Fifteen years later I was out for a bike ride when the idea of a Purple Tent popped into my mind. As a lover of the colour purple and amethyst crystals I was excited to dream The Purple Tent into being. Today, the Purple Tent represents a loving space for individual and collective healing through modalities such as energy medicine, wellness coaching, dance, and community gatherings.
